OFFLINE TRAVEL PACK
Morocco essentials, even when your data disappears.
Save the practical pages you are most likely to need on trains, in medinas, at airports or on a road trip. After one download, the pack works in your browser in airplane mode.
This saves the Morocco Essentials homepage, this offline card and every practical guide in English. Clearing browser site data removes the saved copy.
📲 Optional: add it to your home screen
Your browser may offer “Add to Home Screen” or “Install app”. This is optional — the saved pages work from the browser after download.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE WI-FI
Save these before you move
- Download an offline map for the city or route you are using.
- Screenshot your riad/hotel address, phone number and map pin — medina lanes can be confusing even with GPS.
- Save train or coach tickets as PDFs/screenshots before leaving Wi-Fi.
- Keep some Moroccan dirhams (MAD) for taxis, markets, small cafés and payment failures.
- Save your accommodation contact and any rental-car roadside-assistance number.
- Medical emergency number: 141.
TRAIN CARD
ONCF tickets: make them truly offline
ONCF sells train tickets online and at stations.
ONCF’s conditions say an e-ticket can be kept as a PDF/barcode on a phone and remain accessible offline.
Casablanca has several stations; keep the departure station visible in your screenshot.
ONCF recommends arriving at least 15 minutes before departure when you already have a ticket.
CTM and Supratours are useful for many routes beyond the rail network.
MEDINA & TAXI
When maps stop being helpful
📍 Riad pin
Save the map pin plus the nearest car-accessible point. A riad may be inside pedestrian lanes.
🚕 Taxi
Know whether you need a petit taxi for a city trip or a grand taxi for a longer/shared journey. Confirm the meter or price before leaving.
🧳 Arrival
If a driver cannot enter the medina, keep the riad phone number ready so staff can guide you from the drop-off point.
💵 Cash
Carry small MAD notes. Do not depend on card payment for every taxi or medina purchase.
AIRPORTS
Arrival without mobile data
✈️ Marrakech
Use the official taxi rank or the airport-city shuttle. Save your hotel/riad address before landing.
🚆 Casablanca
Mohammed V Airport has a railway station. Save the destination station name and your onward hotel pin.
📶 SIM/eSIM
A local Moroccan SIM or eSIM can be inexpensive, but install/save the offline pack before relying on mobile coverage.
ROAD TRIP
Before heading toward mountains or desert
- Download the whole route offline, not only the destination pin.
- Fill up before long rural or desert sections and carry drinking water.
- Save the accommodation/guide/transfer phone number for Sahara stays.
- Screenshot any meeting point for camp transfers or excursions.
- Do not treat mobile coverage as a safety system.
MOBILE DATA
Local data is affordable — offline is still useful
Orange Morocco currently lists travel packs such as 10 GB for 100 DH and 20 GB for 200 DH, valid for 30 days, and supports eSIM. Prices change, so check the operator before buying.
MONEY
Quick money card
- Currency: Moroccan dirham (MAD/DH).
- Cards work in many hotels and larger businesses, but cash remains important.
- Keep small notes for taxis, tips, markets and cafés.
- Do not plan to pay ordinary expenses in euros even if some tourist businesses accept them.
